When the 'NSD is Running" dialog pops up, Notes has already crashed. NSD is collecting info about the crash so that maybe it can be diagnosed.
Look for the section that starts with "FATAL THREAD" and post that, maybe somebody will recognize something. However, if you have a support contract your best bet for an answer is to contact them.
